FutureView: USMC Training Simulation

A production training platform built by ACSILabs for the U.S. Marine Corps under an Office of Naval Research contract. It puts Marines in realistic 3D scenarios, then measures their decisions so instructors can see how operational judgment develops.
- My role
- As Simulation Architect on the ACSILabs team, I build and optimize the real-time multiplayer environment in Unity and C# with Tnet3 networking and Dissonance voice, streamlined server-access authentication, and author branching training scenarios in the platform’s no-code node editor, linking scenario logic, dialogue and scoring through web nodes.
- Outcome
- Improved server efficiency by 70% through optimized authentication queries; the platform now delivers training simulations for the Marine Corps and additional clients. Team project; my contributions are listed above.
Project details: FutureView: USMC Training Simulation
What the platform does
- No-code node editor for authoring branching training scenarios
- Intelligent agent system for in-scenario characters and dialogue
- Real-time reporting of trainee performance and behavioral scores
- Risk-free, low-cost environment for rehearsing complex decisions
